Larry Brucia is the President and CEO of Sutti & Associates, Inc. In 1973, he accidentally invented trail mix and started a manufacturing and distribution company called Marin Food Specialties. Over the years, he has pioneered many new products for natural food stores and supermarkets throughout the United States.  Mr. Brucia has developed products from concept stage to product testing and from manufacturing to launch, with an emphasis on Brand positioning for the company. Mr. Brucia continues to own a number of retail product brands including Marin Brand, Planet biodegradable cleaning products, and Green Forest paper products. He has also lectured and written articles for numerous organizations and trade magazines over the past thirty years. In 2004, Mr. Brucia purchased Sutti and Associates, Inc.; a design company that specializes in retail stores and showrooms including many independent grocers around the United States. Mr. Brucia has a unique view of the retail food industry that combines a retail product manufacturer and branding perspective, distribution knowledge, store design expertise, and store building experience. He has the ability to foresee market conditions, to advise retailers regarding upcoming trends, and to develop new merchandising concepts to help his retail clients differentiate themselves from their retail competition.



Stanley Corriea, Jr. is the President of Stanley Produce, Inc., a family business that has sold produce out of the San Francisco Wholesale Produce Market since 1941. Stanley Produce is one of the longest standing tenants on the Produce Market. Mr. Corriea has served on the Produce Market Board for fifteen years and is President of the Board of Directors of the Merchant’s Organization. Mr. Corriea has worked in the produce industry since 1980 and he has held his title as President since 2002 when his father, the former president, retired.  Stanley Produce initially specialized in mushrooms including both domestic and wild mushrooms as well as Belgian endives. Stanley Produce has always focused on selling unique products; they were the first company on the west coast to import radicchio, endives, and shallots. Stanley Produce sells to a client base of restaurants, catering companies, and produce sellers. Mr. Corriea was born and raised in San Francisco and he went to San Francisco State University for Business Administration and a minor in Business Management. He constantly strives for maintaining high quality and value for his customers.



Lori Campbell is a Financial Management Consultant with the Northern California Community Loan Fund. A resident of the Bay Area since 1970, Lori has over 35 years of nonprofit financial and management experience. Working closely with Trustees and senior staff, Ms. Campbell has provided expertise in areas of strategic planning, budget and finance, board training, fund development, human resource, risk management, and facilities operations. Ms. Campbell has been a member of the Board of the San Francisco Women’s Alliance, the Board of Trustees of the California Association of Nonprofits, the Foundation for National Progress and the Bay Area Independent Schools Business Officers Association.  Lori graduated Phi Beta Kappa, cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley. Married with three sons, Ms. Campbell lives in Westwood Highlands, in the southwest corner of San Francisco.  She tries never to miss the San Francisco Giants’ Opening Day, and prefers seats on the third base side.



Helen Lois Sause is the retired Deputy Director for the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency for Programs and Projects, which included the Agency's nine projects in planning or under implementation.  Prior to her position as Deputy Director, she served as Project Director for 18 years and she oversaw the development of the 3 billion dollar mixed use Yerba Buena Gardens Project that includes 10 acres of gardens, a culture space for children, and a large cultural complex. The complex is comprised of a theater, three visual art galleries, and a state of the art multipurpose space. It also includes 3,200 housing units for all incomes, several hotels, the Metreon retail building, and other related commercial buildings. Since her retirement, Ms. Sause has continued her engagement with numerous Boards and activities related to creating homes for a range of all incomes, and community development. She has served as International newsletter editor and Golden Gate Chapter President of Lambda Alpha International (LAI), the honorary society for the advancement of Land Economics; member of the Episcopal Senior Communities (ESC); Chair for the Alameda Development Corporation; and Chair for HOMES (Housing Opportunities Make Economic Sense), an organization that develops and provides low and moderate income housing. Ms. Sause was also named the 2011 LAI Member of the Year and she is an honorary member of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Housing.



Jeff is a Member of Newman Development Group, LLC, a commercial real estate investment company that focuses on value-add and opportunistic retail and multi-family assets across the United States.  He holds over ten years of corporate and real estate finance experience.  Prior to joining NDG, Jeff held various Finance and Business Development positions at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. and most recently was Director of International Mergers & Acquisitions where he led and managed the diligence process.  Jeff is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a BS from Cornell University and MBA from Columbia University.  Jeff grew up in a family owned supermarket business and has a strong interest in the food industry.



David brings over 25 years of real estate development and finance expertise, along with investing experience in new ventures.  For ten years he was responsible for developing master-planned communities in Washington State, including Snoqualmie Ridge and Northwest Landing, where he was general manager.  His roles included complex entitlements, land development, architectural review, owners’ associations, sales, finance and community outreach.   For the next ten years, he served as Senior Vice President and Investment Committee member with Weyerhaeuser Realty Investors, a provider of equity and subordinate debt to developers and builder nationwide.  

He currently sits on the investment committees for New Forests, Inc. a $2.6 billion AUM fund manager dedicated to sustainable investment in forestry and environmental markets, and Sustainable America, a double bottom- line investor in start-ups devoted to efficient agricultural and energy technologies. He also manages the economic development activities of the Stillaguamish Tribe of Western Washington.

David holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, an MIA from Columbia University and a BA from Stanford.  He lives in San Francisco.



Calvin Leong is Vice President of VegiWorks Inc., a full-service wholesaler and distributor of a complete line of fresh fruit and vegetables including certified organic and pre-cut produce, legumes, dried fruit and nuts, Asian noodles, and other dried goods. He has held this position since 1992, when he partnered to establish VegiWorks. VegiWorks has steadily grown since its inception and it now employs fifty-four employees. VegiWorks provides most of its service to local restaurants, hotels, and catering companies and has operated out of the San Francisco Produce Market for the past eight years. Before partnering to form VegiWorks, Calvin Leong worked in supermarket operations and management for twenty-two years.  He studied at College of Alameda and City College of San Francisco. He and his family are also long standing residents of San Francisco. He takes great pride in his work and he always strives to provide his clients with high-quality produce by establishing relationships with specialty growers in the region.



Ray Mah is the owner of Berti Produce.  Ray purchased Berti in 1986 year following a history of Berti produce, where ownership was passed from owner to employee.  The founder upon his retirement sold the business to Stan Siguara who had been a longtime employee at Berti.  When Stan and his wife Tai decided to retire, they sold Berti to Ray who had begun working at Berti around 1986.  Berti Produce focuses on mushrooms and vegetables.  Ray and family are residents of San Francisco.



John Muller is a family farmer operating Daylight Farms and Farmer John’s Pumpkin Farm in Half Moon Bay California, growing a wide range of pumpkins, and heirloom vegetable varietals. Additionally John and his wife operate The Heirloom Seed Store where they provide imported European Heirloom Seeds for home gardeners and farmers. “Farmer John” has been in involved in Agriculture all of his life as he grew up and helped on his families Dairy Farm in San Gregorio, California. Mr. Muller was an early participant and graduate of the California Agricultural Leadership Fellowship Program and later served on the Board of Directors of the California Agricultural Education Foundation (AEF). Mr. Muller is in his sixteenth year, twelfth term as Chair, of the San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board, as well as his third term on the Half Moon Bay City Council, presently serving as Vice Mayor. John also has served on a vast number of boards and committees including, the USDA Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee for Fruits and Vegetables, U.S. EPA's Local Government Advisory Committee, and a graduate of FBI Citizen’s Academy. Mr. Muller and his wife Eda were honored as recipients of the U. S. EPA’s Presidential Volunteer Service Award for their leadership in sustainable, urban agriculture.  Additionally, John was the recipient of the US EPA External Award for Stewardship, and the Monterey Bay Sanctuary Sustainability Award. Finally, Mr. Muller is a Veteran of the Vietnam War.

At Crescent Heights®, Roman has been a pioneer in the transformation of a team focused on condominium conversions to leading a team of visionaries focused on creating value with rental communities.  He frequently collaborates with principals regarding financial strategy, procedures and implementation while he oversees many of the company’s newest developments.  Roman has been responsible for the asset management of numerous apartment communities, hotels and Home Owners Association boards.   Roman’s current projects include NEMA, a highly-amenitized, service-oriented residential rental community located at 10th and Market streets in the heart of San Francisco’s Mid-Market neighborhood and Jasper a new development in Rincon Hill.  Before joining the team at Crescent Heights, Roman was an accountant at Porte Brown in Elk Grove, Illinois, where he performed public audits and managed corporate and personal tax accounts.  Roman received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Butler University in 2003, where he also served as all-conference captain of the varsity football team.  He is husband and father to three wonderful women; he is an avid runner and has competed internationally in several races over the past decade, including the New York City Triathlon, Athens Marathon, Dubai Marathon, Chicago Marathon, Oceanside Iron Man and San Francisco Marathon.



Ric Tombari and his wife, Elaine Jones, founded Cooks Company in 1985, and have grown Cooks Company to a premier distributor of quality fresh produce that serves the Bay Area.



For the past 25 years, Julie has served in a management role for SF BART District, including managing a sales distribution network with 440 retail locations resulting in $70 million in sales. She oversaw moving 350,000 daily customers from paper tickets to smart cards, operating a call center, managing complaint handling, and operating retail outlet with $1.3 million in annual sales. She is now looking to develop an on-line company store and mobile transit fare payment app. Julie has been a NorCal FDC board member for the past 13 years, and has served on the Board of Girls Inc of the Island City. She holds an MBA from Golden Gate University, and a BA in Criminal Justice from CSU Sacramento. She is a Bay Area Native.



Eli Zigas is the Food and Agriculture Policy Director for SPUR, an urban planning think tank and advocacy organization based in the Bay Area.  He leads SPUR’s work on regional foodshed planning, urban agriculture, and creating a vibrant, accessible food system. Since launching SPUR's food and agriculture program in 2011, he has been lead author on SPUR reports examining: city support for urban agriculture, the benefits of a local food economy and improving access to healthy food.  In partnership with the San Francisco Planning Department and Office of Economic and Workforce Development, he helped develop the economic cluster strategy for San Francisco's Food & Beverage Manufacturers & Distributors.  

Prior to working at SPUR, Eli was program manager for DC Vote, an education and advocacy nonprofit organization in Washington, D.C. and the communications manager for the Udall Legacy Bus Tour, a cross-county biodiesel bus tour promoting public service on environmental and Native American issues.
