The SF Market is in the midst of a multi-year, $100Million reinvestment project to upgrade and expand our facility and position ourselves for future success. This will allow us to better meet customer demand for fresh produce while continuing to serve as an anchor for quality jobs in San Francisco.

Capital improvements to The SF Market's core infrastructure are paramount to our ongoing success. Updated storage and distribution facilities will allow The SF Market to attract and incubate produce businesses, while providing space for our existing merchants to grow. Improvements will also allow us to reduce The SF Market's environmental footprint and meet evolving food safety best practices and standards.

As we plan for these improvements, we are focusing on opportunities to improve access to The SF Market, potentially through a community conference space, a demonstration kitchen, and by partnering with nutrition outreach organizations. We are also exploring attracting businesses that are well suited to partner with our current merchants, such as caterers, food trucks, and food makers.

The Reinvestment Project is representative of our continued investment in the Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood and to retaining and growing hundreds of sustainable, high quality warehouse jobs that deliver fresh produce throughout the Bay Area. These efforts support our role as a key partner in the Bay Area tourism and food economy.
